Day two of the new easel and 30 paintings.  Getting ready to start today's painting now.  This spoon was my grandmother's.  I only have four and they are precious to me.  I think I'll clean one up and paint it that way too.  This one is pretty tarnished.  Lax housekeeping, more painting.  Working on keeping it a little looser with this series and not overworking it.

So happy to have my new David Sorg easel.  I've been wanting one for a long time and was finally able to treat myself.  It was fairly easy to put together and yesterday was the christening of it.  I'm going to give the thirty paintings, thirty days another go,  and this is my first effort.
Three Cherries and an Heirloom

I'm going to try and do as many of the paintings as possible from life.  Either still life or plein air. These tomatoes are from my garden.  It's the first time I've grown the heirlooms and they have been delicious!  Always love the cherries, off the vine or flash fried in olive oil.  Yum.
