Stepping out of my car I was lucky to have my camera in hand as I spotted this beauty just coming up from the lake.  I was so glad I hadn't let my pup out of the car yet, so I was able to get this shot just as he became aware that someone was watching him, broke into a faster trot...and was soon gone...he was so well camouflaged, close, and beautiful.  Almost all of the shots I take now I am thinking about painting.  I do love photography too.  And nature.  Can't live without nature.  I complain sometimes but I am so happy my pup gets me out for walks.  Everyday...regardless of weather.  Has to happen.

Here I go again with the Crows....love the crows.   So much character and they are very smart.  They can also be really brutal with each other.....like people....heheh.  

Boone is one of my all time favorite dogs....He is the sweetest guy and recently battled a bear protecting his property, and lived to tell the tale.....We call him Samurai Warrior Dog now.  I did this painting in response to the Up Close Animal Challenge on the Daily Paintworks site.  It was a fun challenge and gave me the opportunity to try something new....I love those challenges.  My daughter fell in love with the painting and it will be living at her house.  I'm inspired to try another in the near future.
