Blue Buddha
10 x 8
Oil on Canvas
This is round two with this Buddha....I wasn't quite happy with the first go...but feel good about the corrections.  I originally did this for a blue challenge on Daily Paintworks.  Love the challenges....they help me try new things and move along.

Bound: Nowhere to Land
8 x 10
Oil on Board
This is the second in the Bound series.  The first being Bound: Speechless.  I'm working on #3 today.  This has been an engaging series for me and has generated a lot of comment and interest, and is open to personal interpretation.  Corvids are symbolic of the Divine Feminine as well as many other characteristics, some more friendly seeming than others.....but that would be open to interpretation as well.  This piece is sold and the two in the series will live together.

Out For A Stroll
14 x 11
Oil on Board
I was lucky to capture this egret right before he/she sauntered over to a large rock outcropping and snagged a lizard.  I had no idea they ate lizards!!  He didn't seem to mind me following him around....until he didn't, and then I was able to get some great shots of take off and flight.  Paintings for the future.  This was a fun project.  I love all birds and think they make great painting subjects.  So much beauty and character make them irresistible to me, and I'm fortunate to live in an area where there is a great variety of birds....and nature.

Bound Speechless
Oil on Board
8 x 10
My ode to Valentine's Day which can be a joy or a misery depending where you are in relationship in your life.  Love can leave us speechless, tongue tied, and bound, but love can also set us free.  Corvids are a noisy bunch in general which inspired me to hush this one up.  It speaks to an interior place, no words required.
