Love to garden, love flowers, love painting. I'll give this a try again. I have an orchid that's been blooming for several months now and still looks fresh. I should get at it before it starts to wilt.
Such a great spot for plein air painting. This is McInnis Park in San Rafael. You can keep walking to the bay from here, and along the way see a variety of birdlife, canals, and maybe coyotes. Its a beautiful spot for a sunrise too. This beautiful morning was perfect for looking back toward Mt Tamalpais. The tide was out and it was impossible for me to get how shiny that bank was. I'll be painting here again soon.
Painting every day getting ready for the Marin Open Studios this weekend. May 2-3 and 9-10 11am to 6pm. Visit www.marinopenstudios.org for a map and more information. Just finished this one today. Started out plein air and it was looking good until I stepped away from my easel and a big gust of wind blew it over. That's not so bad but the Gamsol spilled all over it and basically melted my almost finished painting away. Had to laugh. Just enough there to be able to recreate it in the studio. This is at Las Galinas in San Rafael. A favorite place to paint as well as take photographs.
Okay, back on line with the website. www.jillseefineart.com. Still have a lot of work to do but it is up and I will keep working on it. My new site is powered by Artspan, which is a great site specifically for artists. It's easy site to maneuver, they have great templates, and lots of extras. Highly recommend it.
Oh boy.....have to take back that "online part" about the website. There was some fixing to do so it is not online now. Sorry for the confusion, it will be up and running soon! In the meantime....
The Magic Keys
Oil on Board
8 x 6
Part of a series of three. I have a collection of old keys and I have always wanted to paint this small vessel that I have, so in my last go round of "not" thirty paintings in thirty days I did this set. I'll post the others later on.
